National Broadband Network Information
NBN Tasmania is the first stage of the Commonwealth Government's ambitious multi-billion dollar national broadband network. The Federal Government will build a $43 billion National Broadband Network (NBN) delivering superfast broadband to Australian homes and workplaces. Construction and operation of the NBN will occur first in Tasmania from mid-2008.
The Launceston Chamber of Commerce co-hosted an information forum on the National Broadband Network with TAS ICT, the Department of Economic Development & Tourism and Cityprom.

Adobe has also released a White Paper entitled The National Broadband Network: Unleashing Australia’s Digital Potential. The paper was written to support the Federal Government in helping consumers and businesses realise the full potential of the NBN.
