This category is open to successful businesses that have commenced operations in the last three years or less. The judges will be looking for emerging businesses that have a unique competitive advantage that ensures they are sustainable in the medium to long term from a base in Launceston.

This award is open to hospitality operators with up 15 full time equivalent employees and recognises the special contribution that the small business sector makes to Launceston and the region’s tourism industry. The judges will pay particular attention to how you manage to achieve all-round business excellence as a small hospitality business.

This award is open to tourism and hospitality businesses that can demonstrate their commitment in consistently delivering an exceptional visitor experience which allows them to stand out from their competitors.

Open to not for profit businesses / organisations operating as a business, which are achieving outstanding work within the Northern Tasmanian community in areas such as social enterprise, services, charitable work and potentially utilising volunteer support.

The category is open to Northern Tasmanian businesses who have achieved commercial success through innovative and progressive manufacturing capabilities. Manufacturing includes small scale operations (jewellery manufacture, wood products, food manufacturing, etc) through to large scale manufacturing operations.

This award reflects excellence in customer service across business. It is open to all businesses providing excellence in customer service.

Business Hall of Fame Inductee - this category is not open for entry. The inductee will be chosen by the Launceston Chamber of Commerce Board and will not necessarily be awarded.
CGU Business of the Year
CGU Business of the Year Award – this category is not open for entry. The winner of this award will be selected by the Launceston Chamber Board.
