Northern Tasmanian Businesses recognised at prestigious Awards night
Paul Ranson, President of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce has congratulated 14 Northern Tasmanian businesses who won Awards at the CGU Launceston Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala Dinner.
The dinner, held on Friday 29th August at Launceston’s Tailrace Centre, Riverside was attended by 350 people.
In their fifth year, the awards recognise successful businesses and organisations in Northern Tasmania and highlight the economic, employment and social contributions they provide to the region.
“This year a record number 114 businesses and organisations entered 11 categories. Such was the quality of entries that 29 were chosen as finalists by the three member judging panel. The judges were impressed with the calibre and range of business endeavours, as well as the general concern that finalists showed for the region and the wider community.” he said.
“The awards partnership between the Launceston Chamber of Commerce and CGU along with support from all our award and dinner sponsors, aims to develop a business environment that encourages all businesses in the Northern Tasmanian region to strive for excellence".
CGU State Manager Jarrod Wilson congratulated the finalists and winners for their achievements.
“CGU Insurance is extremely proud to once again be the major sponsor of the Business Excellence Awards,” he said.
“We are strongly committed to supporting growth in Launceston and these awards showcase the vital role business plays in our community on an economic, social and cultural level.
“The awards celebrate the significant contribution business makes to the Launceston community and acknowledge stories of success, innovation, vision, integrity and of people investing in Tasmanian.
“On behalf of CGU, our Tasmanian brokers and authorised representatives, I congratulate all finalists and winners for their outstanding achievements this year.”
