Chamber calls for immediate support for Priority Employment Area

Launceston Chamber of Commerce EO, Lou Clark said ‘The delay and uncertainty surrounding the current tender process and proposed upgrade to Scottsdale’s Defence Science and Technology Organisation Food Science Facility process is another blow to the North East already heavily hit with the closure of the Gunn’s Mill and the restructuring of the forestry industry.’

HAWTHORN IS THE BEST DEAL FOR TASMANIA

In light of the front page story in The Mercury announcing today that the State Government has been given a choice by the AFL, take eight home and away games split between Launceston and Hobart or continue the existing arrangement with Hawthorn, Executive Officer of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce Lou Clark today reiterated the Launceston Chamber’s position on AFL at Aurora Stadium and the Hawthorn sponsorship.
